The Dark
The dark is all I ever know.
It was in darkness I was born.
It is where I lie in death now,
My bloody body torn.
My mother had decided
She had other plans for me.
She wanted to live her own life
And I was not to be.
The doctor used his instruments
That made my death so slow.
Each part of me was ripped away
In the only pain I'd know.
I wonder why she did this to me.
Was it so wrong for me to be there?
My mother didn't want or love me
And now the dark is everywhere.
