I am very pleased that you have taken the time to visit this page of my website. If you're a person who is unsaved, then I pray that you will use this opportunity to get right with God by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Without doubt, this is the most important decision in your life. Your eternal happiness or anguish stands upon your decision.
Please bear in mind that you are a sinner (Romans 3:23); and your salvation is not attained by attending church, following a certain religion, or performing good works, no matter how commendable these may appear to be. We are saved by grace, which is the unmerited favor of God, not by our own performance. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
In John 3:7, Jesus said to Nicodemus, "You must be born again. The Word of God states that there is only one way to receive salvation. Jesus said in John 14:6; "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." In order to receive the privileges of Christ's sacrifice, God's plan of salvation entails:
1) Acknowledgment and confession of sins: "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). "God be merciful to me a sinner" (Luke 18:13). "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
2) Belief: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household" (Acts 16:31).
3) Acceptance: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe in his name" (John 1:12).
4) Repentance: "Unless you repent you will all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3). "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out" (Acts 3:19).
5) Confession of faith: "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9,10).
You can accept Jesus Christ right now by asking Him to come into your life. If you're unsure what to say, please feel free to use the following prayer as a general guideline.
"Dear Lord Jesus, I need You in my life. I confess to you that I am a sinner. I recognize that I have not lived my life for You. Right now I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I acknowledge Your completed work on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness -- past, present, and future -- you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Thank you for dying in my place and giving me eternal life. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my King, my Lord, and my Savior. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. Through the help of the Holy Spirit I will serve you all the days of my life. Amen"
Now that you have prayed, know that you have made the best decision one can make. You are now a child of God and have eternal life In Jesus Christ. I encourage you to pray, diligently study the Bible and seek out a Christ-centered, doctrinally sound church to nuture your new found faith. On account that it is imperative that we watch our lives and doctrine closely
(1 Tim. 4:16), I also encourage you to be cautious of Word-Faith churches. Please click on the link "Articles" in the navigation menu and then click "Word-Faith Movement: Wolves In Sheep's Clothing" for more information about Word-Faith teachers and their erroneous doctrines.
