By: Jeffrey E. Pollock
The Truth is plain for all to see,
Christ's blood was shed to set us free;
The stronghold that binds us to slavery,
Was broken and forgiven by His victory.
The Way is clear for all to follow,
Christ's cross was raised so we would know;
The scars that kept us focused on our sinful past,
Were healed and forgiven when Jesus breathed His last.
The Life is evident for all to believe,
Christ was resurrected to prove what we must preach;
The stranglehold that imprisoned us in our dying flesh,
Was loosed and forgiven when Jesus conquered death.
"As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our
transgressions from us" (Psalm 103:12).
