Truth and Discernment Ministry is a personal apologetics ministry of Victor T. Stephens. This web-based ministry exposes the proliferation of unbiblical traditions and critical deviations of Scripture by false teachers who have permeated the Church. Truth and Discernment Ministry is also devoted to motivating and equipping believers in Christ to discern erroneous doctrines that have illusively trespassed into our local churches and media (Acts 17:11).

Take note that the information contained on this website is not for those who subscribe to tolerance, compromise, and doctrinal indifference; but for those who are motivated and diligent in seeking God's truth. Psalm 119:104 states, "Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way."
This ministry acknowledges that some do not understand the concerns and warnings to the body of Christ for unveiling, reproving, and refutation of non-biblical traditions and false teachers. Unfortunately, many people believe it is unfitting to expose error and publicly rebuke those who have deviated from the truth of Scripture. Charismatic Word-Faith teachers, and many of their supporters, highly endorse this conjecture. Those who dare venture into the arena of public refutation are often met with a backlash of volatile and rabid counteractions or accused of being judgmental, unloving, and divisive. Moreover, they aim unrelenting threats in the form of inappropriate and antagonistic scriptural interpretations ("Touch not the Lord's anointed," "Judge not," for example) towards those who refute their false doctrines. For the record, those who subscribe to this reprehensible line of thinking are either wicked or immature.
Naturally, false teachers fear exposure. They detest any confrontation with facts that blaze the light upon their concealed darkness. Thus, they will endeavor any plan of defense to cloak their real motives. Typically, the strategy is to cleverly manipulate their supporters and silence the opposition so that they can continue to peddle their perverted doctrines while cunningly fleecing the flock.
Let's bear in mind that Satan's ministers do not emerge in their authentic form. The Word of God describes them as "wolves in sheep's clothing"; "false apostles masquerading as apostles of Christ and servants of righteousness" (Matt. 7:15; 2 Cor. 11:13-15). They assert to come in the name of Christ, purportedly confessing Jesus as their Savior while concurrently alleging divine revelations from God (Matt. 7:21-22). Thus, it is these individuals who may not be so transparent to theological infractions. This pretense has promoted a significant accrual of allegiance to false teachers in the church.
Because it is our responsibility to test all teachings (Acts 17:11; 1 Thess. 5:21), this ministry will not adopt a policy of appeasement and disregard erroneous man-made traditions and false doctrines dispersed through television, radio, books, and within our churches. No Christian should stand by in a state of indifference and allow false teachers to deceive fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord. Such undiscerning and negligent behavior is a betrayal to Christ and His body of believers. The Apostle John said, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth." (3 John 1:4). In his warnings to the church, Paul stated, "For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears". (Acts 20:29-31)
It is with concrete certainty that idolaters of personalities do not take kindly to an impugning of their "man of God" or perhaps their "god." Because of this prima donna par excellence mentality, these individuals have become entrapped by Satan's ministers and his counterfeit spiritual order. Thus, to their enamored and undiscerning eyes, the expounding of aberrant doctrines will be sanctioned without objection.
